Features of the Big Smile tulip bulb:
The color of the flower of the Big Smile tulip bulb is yellow, completely yellow. The heart is also yellow. The flower is very large, about 15 cm. The classically shaped flower stands on a light green stem of about 60 cm and rises well above the leaf. Due to its height, this tulip is somewhat sensitive to wind. The Big Smile tulip bulb is an excellent cut flower.
The Big Smile tulip bulb belongs to the group “Only late tulips”. The group includes the tulips better known as Darwin, Broeiers and Cottage tulips. These old-fashioned names are no longer used. Combining these groups resulted in the group of single-flowered late tulips. The group contains a wide variety of flower shapes, although Viridiflora tulips and Fringed (or Crispa) tulips are placed in a different group. The only late tulips and the Darwin varieties are the largest tulips in the entire range. Only late tulips come in almost all colors, including a few unusual varieties. Single-flowered late tulips are first class cut flowers.
